Wooden Eye!

Wooden Eye Paddling is situated on the South Coast of NSW
We offer Stand Up Paddling and Kayak coaching for all levels of paddlers from beginners to paddlers wishing to participate in local short and long distance races.
Coaching sessions are run by accredited coaches on local enclosed water ways
Sessions are available as individual coaching sessions or small group sessions of no more than 4 people

​Currently Wooden Eye Paddling sessions are only available for rehabilitation clients and participants who have recieved medical clearance and a referral from their doctor for water based therapy.

Benefits of Paddling

Stand Up Paddling offers participants the chance to work on their general fitness whilst also working on their balance, leg strength and pelvic stability. Stand Up paddling has been a great activity for participants who would like to work on the balance whilst also being able to enjoy nature and fresh air.
​Kayak paddling sessions allow participants who feel more comfortable in the seated position to work on their fitness
.

Paddling Locations

Wooden Eye paddling sessions are held at on the South Coast of NSW at the following locations:
  • Corramy National Park, St George's Basin
  • Woolamia Boat Ramp​
We aim to keep our groups small groups of 4 or less and remind all our participants about environmental health of these beautiful waterways.

Paddling  Lessons

Paddling lessons can be arranged as individual sessions, partner sessions or small group sessions.

Paddling Lessons focus on teaching participants paddling technique and assist with setting up the foundations for participants who would like to learn how to paddle independently or are looking to purchase a boat for their recreational pursuits

All participants are required to provide a brief health  background check to ensure safety on the water.
Weather conditions such as wind,  water temperature and tidal flow are also taken into account prior to making a booking.
Sessions are rescheduled and may be cancelled due to weather or health of participants.

Paddling Tours can be arranged as individual sessions, partner sessions or small group sessions

Paddling Tours focus on introducing participants to local waterways and wildlife.
Tours are normally 2 hour sessions are dependant on weather, tide and wind.

A tour program can be designed with you following your initial contact email

Tours are currently conducted on

  • Woolamia Boat Ramp
